I just want to say that I hate the fact that I only want to write in this thing when I'm feeling depressed. I don't really feel like going into the details. I'm just going to say this: I have gotten much more introverted as I've gotten older and hanging out with a bunch of people who all went to college together and you did not SUCKS ASS! I'm sorry you've been feeling depressed :( I've had some ugly moods recently myself.

Ahhh, post-college friendship...I've never been super outgoing, but I've definitely found that it's harder to find friends post-college. The main web of CA friends I'm developing centers around my good friend Dave, whom I knew from high school in MN and who moved out to CA last year (although he still lives 2.5 hours away from me). Northern CA people connected to Dave through various channels are bringing other connections together. So I'm meeting some very cool people, but it's kind of weird that almost every one of them is through Dave.

That's funny. I've met some friends, but all of Nick's college friends still live in the area. That's good that you're meeting new people, even if it is through Dave. There was something on Walt's facebook about you being grumpy.

hey man! i know what you're going through, it's a drag getting old and making friends when it's so much easier being a grizzled homebody. i hope things start being less...lame? and you feel a little better soon. i'm thinking about you! :)

You know you do have some of college friends here in town. One of whom would be more then willing to hang out sometime with you and the hubby. Even just grabbing a drink, or coffee, or video game slayage. Said person is also really good at taking abuse and grief good naturedly.

But don't say the H word or the P word to him because it makes that person feel dirty or like he has a fatal disease. Plus said use of the word also seems like a giant crutch.

I guess the point was more that I had to hang out with Nick's friends, and it sucked... not so much that I don't have any friends. I appreciate the offer. :)
