My sister said that I have not updated my journal recently, so here I am. She threatened to nudge me!! I haven't updated it because I didn't feel like I had enough to say yet. I had a good weekend. If you feel so strongly about it, you should ask your priest your question... maybe write a letter.
They have mentioned infertility and miscarriages at the church I go to a couple of times. The senior pastor and his wife went through infertility issues for a couple of years, so that might be the reason they make a point to talk about it when the time is right.
It's a sad topic to discuss so that makes it hard to talk about too, but that doesn't mean it should be ignored.

I agree with Jennifer; sadly, sometimes people avoid a difficult or sad topic and so it doesn't get the attention it ought to. But like Jennier said, since you feel strongly, you should bring it to someone's attention. Those difficult and sad topics are the ones we need to talk about most--because who better to help us with those painful things than God?

Thank you first of all for the ability to conceive, and for being blessed enough as a creation to be capable of such a miraculous act. Thank you for all of those that have passed before me enough to make me a reality. But Lord, the desires of my heart today are to lift up those that have lost lives before they even got a chance to see this world; those that have pained over miscarriages, abortions, still births, trauma, everything. Lord, I know that these things happen for a reason, but I ask that you reveal that to me. Help me to understand and therefore to be joyous in even the opportunity. Be with those that have experienced this first hand, hold them in your hands and bring comfort to them. After all, You are an amazing god, and capable of what we as human beings cannot even begin to fathom. Help me to love like You love.I know its not the what you were specifically wishing for, but I read this and felt compelled to write out the prayer I felt after reading it.
