Author: amy_0127 Rating: T Characters: Gibbs/DiNozzo Summary: Tag to the episode "Check" Disclaimer: Not mine, fortunately for them. A/N: Stupidly short - 361 words but I didn't see reason for more than that.
Oh my gosh, that last line of dialogue! This was brutal to read but in the best way possible. That line is definitely going to stick with me. Thanks for sharing!!
I don't think Gibbs needed to do that alone. He could have watched from the hallway for them to exit and taken them out then instead of running headlong into the place BY HIMSELF! Tony and team couldn't have been but so far away - they got there before he regained consciousness, though I have no idea how long that was, but still. One of these times he won't be as lucky. Good thing the dude didn't shoot him!
IKR? i am really starting to hate some of this writing for the show. they take so many fucking shortcuts. top notch writers, hell, some of the old ncis writers, used to could make it dramatic without making it so completely unrealistic.
oh the agony! and that is exactly right - why not 30 more minutes? gibbs really has some huge problems. i know tony wants to forgive them. he does forgive them. it's just gotta be really hard to believe gibbs cares sometimes.
Gibbs messed up that one, I'm afraid. Though it will not be explored further, I thought it needed to be brought up. Tony will forgive and forgive until he can't any longer. That has to be coming soon.
I would have thought that they'd have a basement scene or something considering tonight's episode. Is it only me that thinks they need each other in their times of trouble and sorrow? Tony didn't seek him out after Diane's murder and Gibbs never sought Tony after this revisitation to one of his more painful life experiences.
I felt a basement scene would be mandatory tonight, but I didn't let myself hope for one. I get a stomach ache watching the show now. No Gibbs-Tony scenes or feels are being written, and Mark is strangely cold. Whatever is going on, I just pretend it is different, as it once was!
