Truth is stranger than fiction. There are so many stories I'd love to share with you - but I can't. Tonight I had one more reminder of how bizarre my life is. I live this seemingly normal suburban existance - but truly, reality couldn't be any more different.

It has been an uneventful Easter. We picked up my Mother In Law to have an early lunch at a local restaurant. It was by no means my first pick, but with her broken ankle every place with a buffet was out which meant so was my idea for a lovely elegant brunch at Ellendale's. I'm about day 13 in this cold and still miserable. Bleh. I'm still accomplishing much. I have to as my mother is coming on Monday. Yesterday B and I put gravel down under the deck and made a pleasant sitting area, did weed and feed on the lawn, raked leaves/grass clippings, weeded flower beds, cleaned out the gutters, planted the herb garden, ( Read more... ) -

I've been lax about updating because I came home with a cold that has left me voiceless and energy-less. Tonight I had a 2 hour massage. She worked very deep practically the whole time. By the time I got up, my throat was sore from the drainage and my nose was running so much I couldn't keep a supply of tissues handy enough. Despite my red nose ( Read more... ) -

In our drunken stupor, last night we had a discussion about songs that we strongly associate with a person, time or relationship in our life. I couldn't think of any. I made it to Minneapolis just fine. Every city has its own energy and I have to say that when entering this city it was a very gentle, quiet energy. Driving through I rarely saw a person on the streets and it was eerily quiet for a weekday morning in what appeared to be a business district ( Read more... )
