There was an earthquake?

May 17, 2009 22:18

Several posts on my flist seem to indicate this was so, but I didn't feel it. This is odd; usually I notice little quakes the rest of my family doesn't feel. The reactions seem to suggest it was a significant shake, too. Of course, the friends who mentioned it live roughly 45 minutes to an hour south of me, so maybe that's why I didn't notice it?

Camarillo felt it. Apparently it was a 5.0 in the inglewood-ish area.
Its wierd how the waves go though. In SC I am positioned in such a place that I am the *only* place in SC where a quake in salinas can be registerd.....or San Jose for that matter. its wierd

I felt it, but it was tiiiiiny here. Just enough to give my speakers on my already-wobble desk a little extra wobble. My animals didn't notice it at all.

Shake rattle and roll here in Hermosa Beach. Quite loud and noticeable for 10 seconds plus. Some nice up and down L-wave action, so I knew it was close.

There was 8 or 9 of us over at Sharon's at about that time, and none of us felt it. *shrug*
