I'm on the job hunt again.  Still working at the National Ballet, but job hunting for something more full time while I'm at it.  If anyone has any leads on anything remotely marketing/administrative/finance/business-related, please let me know.  I'm flexible to the point of almost insane.  Entry level positions and even reception are most welcome.

I do keep trying to probe if we need someone even on a 1-2 day a week basis, but there have been no confirmed results either way. You're still my prime back up hire and I think you'd get a kick out of organizing everything and fiddling with the spreadsheets and extras they'd like to do but either don't have time for or don't know how. I'm wondering if it's worth you tossing a resume this way with a cover letter and explaining your flexibility (if there is some) and whatever, just so it's on file.

I still have not had luck with my own in-my-field job search, so boo. I feel your pain. And will link you on LI. :)

Just looked at your profile OMG and that you know Mandarin would be awesome - 2/3 of the technicians here are from China and speak Mandarin.

I'll send you an updated copy of my resume/cover letter (the general admin version). I'm super flexible, especially since your work is super close to where I live (so whatever number of days per week is do-able unless I find a full time position that fills my schedule). Full-time, part-time, temporary all works for me. At this point, I'll happily take what I can get since anything will help as a stepping stone either moving up within a company, or towards a job elsewhere ( ... )

There's nothing under admin/finance right now (there's one marketing thing there though) where I work, but here's the link anyway: http://www.nightingalemd.ca/company/careers-1/

I see hiring e-mails on a fairly regular basis, so it might be worth keeping an eye on?

Good luck!

Thanks. I might actually try applying to that marketing job. I was recently told by someone that social media marketing was a good area to go into right now because it's so new. Almost seems like that was a stroke of clairvoyance considering how few days it's been. XD

Out of curiosity, is this company that you and you Mom do medical transcribing for?

Same company, yeah, we're the QA editors for transcription services.

Good luck with the marketing job! I wish I could put in a good word for you, but I don't even know who I would talk to about it. We're slightly disconnected from the main operations in Markham.

My boss has your resume so but I'm not sure where things stand with the position right now. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Awesome, thanks.

Even with the ballet, it took a couple of weeks before I got an interview and they hadn't even put up a public job posting at that point, so I'd imagine that it would take at least that long for your boss to get around to checking me out, especially since it looks like the job posting has been out on the Optech site for a while even if they didn't spread it everywhere on the internet. I haven't lost hope yet. XD

Here's a link to the positions available in my company: http://dayforce.com/About-Us/Careers/Jobs-at-Dayforce/Dayforce-Canada.aspx

A lot of them are pretty technical though. If you see any you want to apply to, send me your cover letter and resume and I can push it through for you.

Thanks. I think all of those are a bit too technical for me, but if they usually have that many job listings floating around, it maybe be worth stalking in case they have something more my stream in the future. =D
