Thanks for posting this Amy! It's super helpful! And really makes me want to go back to Japan.

Hey, Amy...where is that 24-hour Seiyu in Asakusa? I'm crossing my fingers for being close to my hotel. I have a 7-11 a couple blocks away, but if the Seiyu has a bigger selection of food, I'm going to have to check it out ( ... )

Seiyu is one of the few supermarket chains in town. I read all that I could google and it seems that to find something bigger you'd have to leave Tokyo premise. Just the cooked food alone is larger than an entire convenience store. I'd say it's on par with Wal-mart super center size overall. The Asakusa one is in the basement of Rox 2 (that's kind of important to know, hahaha...I should edit that into the post). It has 2 entrances, but the escalator one goes to a door that opens to the outside 24hr since everything else closes. I usually get my beverages there as well since if you're making a trip for food, might as well pick up cheaper-than-conbini drinks as well.

I'm pretty sure I know where the Rox 2 is. I'd have to double check on the map, but I know I used to walk by it every day one of the times I stayed at the Toyoko Inn Senzoku. I'm not sure where in relation it is to my hotel this time, but I'll figure it out. Thanks!

Of all the Rox's, Rox 2 is the only one I can consistently find, hahaha. It's a small, but open mall with a lot of kids stuff on the ground floor. Rox 2 is totally the best IMO. Seiyu in the basement and a small Daiso upstairs. Rox (1?) had next to nothing interesting inside and I don't think we ever figured out which building was supposed to be the 3rd one. O.o;;

There's a massive (and really neat/clean) Donki in Asakusa too now. It's easier to spot than any of the Rox's. Once you find it, Rox 2 was just to the right of it (if I'm remembering correctly...I've only been to this Donki once).
