Behind blue eyes
Only Luke knows.
He knows what is behind those blue eyes.
Reid has been working on his social skills. The nurses have stopped crying. The board members have accepted the differences between Bob and Reid as different instead off problematic. The doctor's already liked Reid because he was always willing to help them with a question about their patients.
But Luke could still see trough those blue eyes.
When anyone was being stupid he remains calm but he always gave a short eye roll and his eyes became a bit darker. It was very short so people did not see it. Not anything like the big eye roll when he first came to town. But Luke and often Katie always do.
When Reid is being sarcastic but being smart about it so his target is not aware of it Luke can see it. His eyes get a sparkle in them then. If Reid realizes Luke does get the sarcasm he always gives him a sign of pride. Either a nod, a smile or even a wink. Luke loves their secret connection at those moments. Every now and then Katie gets it. Usually when Chis is the target. She just gives him a small punch. But she keeps it a secret to.
There is one feeling behind those blue eyes. Two actually. But the difference is minimal and they usually appear around the same time. Luke is the only one who gets to see those feelings.
The feelings of lust and love.
Even at a board meeting this shade of blue can become visible. Luke can see the colour shift when he is drinking from a water bottle or outsmarting another member. Or just when Luke presented an idea that made Reid very proud.
But at home this beautiful shade of blue is more persistent and is shown for longer periods at a time.
