Ain't nobody's business if I do.
Reid was waiting on the couch at the foundation office at world wide for Luke to finish his work. They kept missing each other all week trying to spend some time together. He did not want to waist anymore time from his precious time away from Luke.
Damn he was turning into a sap.
Luke was finishing the last email for his foundation with a big grin on his face. He was so happy that Reid clearly had missed spending time with him. He had been worried that Reid would find him to clingy. That is after all at the base for a lot of problems with Noah. But Luke always envisioned a relationship in which you wanted to share your live with the one that you cared about the most. This relationship was turning out to be just that.
He loved that if he could not see Reid during the day they would call the other before turning in. Just to share the days events. Even if it was trough voicemail he still felt connected. It felt great.
He send the last mail, turned off the computer and walked toward the gorgeous man smiling at him from the couch. "So did you have plans for us or did you just miss me".
"Both" Reid said with a smile. "In a week or two Chris will be released from hospital and Katie wants him to come live with her. That means I need a new place to live since I do not want to live with that fool. I've called a broker who only got one apartment for rent close to the hospital and where I can move in soon. I nearly agreed to it on the phone but than I thought that maybe you have more wishes for a place than four walls and a good fridge. And I want you to come over a lot so you need to like it. She said that she could show the place today if I rang her before five. Do you think you have the time".
"Sure I would love to see if it could be a nice place for you. I can not imagine you living with Chris. You would bitch to each other all day and Katie would ask you to give him a check up anytime he coughs.
"See you get it" Reid laughed "Katie said it would work out perfect".
When they arrived at the apartment it turned out that having Luke there was a great help. The fridge in the kitchen turned out to be very small but Luke asked if it was ok that the nearby cupboard could have the shelves removed to make room for a big fridge. The broker made a call and it could be arranged. He pointed out that if Reid where to leave the building at the back entrance he would be only two hundred meters away from a park with a nice route for jogging.
After he took Luke aside to talk it over he was ready to sign the lease. He walked over to Mrs patchwork skirt to let her now he would take the apartment.
"Do you intend for mister Snyder to join you at the apartment at any time in the future." She asked with a smile.
"It ain't nobody's business if I do" Reid asked surprised.
"Off course doctor, but then I could already leave you with a document to change the tenant of the apartment from one person to two. That would take you two weeks to ask for when you would request to do so after we give you the keys."
"Alright then give me the paper" Reid said with a shrug.
The patchwork lady gave him the form and the lease with a knowing nod.
