*shudder* I boycotted that as soon as I heard about it. and when I saw the first page of the little Golden Book with a happy Hera and Zeus holding their "son" Hercules, I knew I made the right choice.
If I ever had to watch that, I know I would be scrawling down every single inconsistency I could find on that movie. /rant. ;)
Inconsistencies aside, even, it's still not a good movie. None of the characters are endearing, except perhaps Hades. Everyone else is arrogant and unpleasant. They aren't people I'd want to know. It's the one Disney movie where you root for the bad guy because the good guys are so smug, flippant, and nasty, they deserve to lose. At least Hades has a sense of humor.
true, which, again, is probably why I liked Pegasus.
I guess, according to your statement, that, in a way, Disney did get it right. The greek gods were highly arrogant and smug.
Overall, if I forget all of the inconsistancies, and looked at it as just another film, then I probably won't be buying it on DVD. It's nice, but not worth my moolah, not when there's Stitch and EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE. THAT was good XD
Mulan is on tonight. Opinions? :P Or is it like Hercules? Forget the inconsistancies and just go with the flow and you may enjoy it?
