Wow, I haven't heard them in a long time. I have one of their albums ( can't recall at the moment) plus their Christmas Caravan.

I saw Mighty Blue Kings at the Green Mill before they became really popular. And then again after the big swing dance revival. You're right. Completely different vibe. Its amazing how much the audience can change the experience.

I *love* the Christmas Caravan album, it's my favorite Christmas one. I tried to get them to play Carolina Christmas, but my voice wasn't carrying well, and I don't think they heard me. :( (Plus, it's only Halloween. Stoopid timing.)

Put a lid on it ... (dah-dah-dah)

I have their Christmas CD, but I shamefully admit that I have never listened to it. I think Vince Guaraldi can move over a little this year.

I make a point of not disagreeing with Miss D when she is right. :-)

They often exist side-by-side in the CD changer, or in the same holiday iTunes mix. Nicely compatible, I'd say.

And you can guess which line of Carolina Christmas is my favorite.....

Thanks, Tommy.
