See, Greensboro does have some cultural game...

I know I posted here when The Wall Street Journal sent a critic down to see our local theater company's performance of Tobacco Road last year, and the favorable review that came out of it.

Yay! for Greensboro.

I'm happy when any town other than NY or LA get kudos for theater work. Too often great productions in "flyover land" get ignored because they aren't in NYC.

And by now, I think you have schooled us on the benefits of living in Greensboro. You have lots of culture.

Not at all... I just meant that with all the cool stuff you've done in your neck of the woods no one could question why you opt to live there. Sounds like a nice place.

I'm totally with Gatz on this. I hate it when people assume that because you don't live in NYC (or Paris for that matter) you live in some backwards territory that culture never reaches. Just because we don't have as many options as the largest cities doesn't mean we cannot put together high-quality plays/operas.

*steps off the Keytus soapbox*

Yay for Greensboro.

That's great, amy! I don't know much about Greensboro, but what I've seen strikes me as having quite a bit of culture, just on a smaller scale.

Certainly better than *my* backwoods. ;-)
