I heart Tina Fey. Jason Sudeikis is so good at Biden. That was a beautiful thing.

Hee! I know! I spent the whole time watching the debate, going--I can't wait to see what Tina Fey does with it.

I think it was brilliant of them to go ahead and announce that Tina was going to be on for all of the weeks up to the election. Basically, sets up the message that, "Yes, we do feel as though this is a national joke that will never get old...." Not *exactly* what a VP nominee wants to hear.

That was great.

I'm just waiting for someone to tie Joe Six-Pack to MADD.

Yeah, I was wondering why nobody jumped on that a little bit. :-P

Oh, thank you SO much for bringing this over here, honey! Brilliant.

"....we don't know if it's man-made or just a natural part of the End of Days..."

"...I tolerate them with all my heart."

"...if you want an outsider who doesn't like politics as usual, or pronouncin' a 'g' at the end of the words she's sayin', you know who to vote for."

I love a good impression, and Tina has her cold. The upside of Palin is lots of funny. :-)

You're welcome, Mary. :-) Personally, I think Tina was missing a few random "also"s, but maybe that's just me. ;)

That was outstanding.

The part about marriage should be between two unwilling teenagers? ... well, I've heard it said that funny trumps offensive. ;-)

Those were both effing brilliant. The whole thing was pretty awesome, but those two lines were past the awesome line.

"You got schooled, Biden-style!"

If it weren't for Sudeikis' better-than-you'd-expect Biden imitation, we would have all just been waiting for Queen Latifah to swing it back to Tina. I knew Sudeikis was funny, but he was impressive there.

And Tina ... well, I didn't think it was possible for me to love her more.

Thanks for embedding, Amybabe. You knew we were going to be talking about it, so you just made it convenient, right? :-)

Hee! Well, there was talk about finding it at the end of last night's thread, and then my friend embedded it on FB, so it was right there on my news feed this morning. (And it took maybe three clicks to embed it from there to here--fantastic!)

So, thank you. :)

Meanwhile ... what did you think of the new stuff by The Killers, Amybabe? :-)

Wow--it's mid-80's Brit pop...not necessarily in a bad way, just in a flashback-y way....

Yeah, the phrase " '80s revivalists" keeps rolling through my head. Especially the second song, "Spaceman."

But I love the return to their "Hot Fuss" sound. As a deejay for WXRT in Chicago said, Brandon Flowers has shaved the mustache and lost the Springsteen fixation. I say both of these are good things. :-)
