Just got back from hearing Khaled Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. The format was basically a discussion between him and the moderator, a woman from the local NPR station who had a wonderful British accent. As people were coming in and during the intro remarks, they had solicitated questions from the audience, and

He is right, you would never see that in Europe. The civil rights movement in Northern Ireland was active 40 years ago and yet they still don't have that power sharing government. Oh when, when will that day come.

The Kite Runner is a great book, though sad. Cool that you got to meet him!
