I took Abigail to get her ears pierced tonight... I had been waiting to do it when she decided that she wanted to, and waited for her to bring it up herself. She kept asking me lately, repeatedly, if she could get them pierced, so I finally decided to let her. I had planned before to take her to a piercing shop and get it done with a hollow needle

I am asking the exact same thing!!! Since when did the screaming baby I met in the shoe department at Mervyn's turn into a young lady!!!!!!

I lol'ed at the head lock thing. She can't just have ONE ear pierced!

She is SO beautiful. You know how a lot of people are ugly when they cry? She isn't one of those people. ;)

Hahaha that's hilarious! I got really lucky with my ears - when I had mine done (it was just before I turned 8), the piercing pagoda at the mall had a policy that kids under 12 had to get both ears done at the same time.

I'm sure you understand now what a smart idea that is. I had one girl on either side, there was a silent count of three over the top of my head, and then boom, done. Then they don't care if you scream and run away, because it's all finished.

Her earrings look lovely! I'm sure she's happy about it now.
