We went to the Giza zoo today. We were supposed to get an early start, and be home by noon, but due to tummy troubles, we got off to a late start. We didn't head home until around 4pm, which is pretty much the hottest part of the day... not fun. Thanks for the headsup on the sunscreen I'm always looking for good ones because I burn REALLY easily as does Ian. Looks like you had a blast I'm so glad! Looks like that zoo is really interactive too it's so great that she got to really get up close and personal like that!

It's actually Neutrogena Waterguard Kids, not Waterblock... sweatproof, waterproof, long lasting :) And yeah, it was a lot of fun! It's kind of a poorly run zoo for the animals (small cages, chained up, not great habitats) but I figure it'll probably be the only time she's allowed to get that close to those kind of animals, so we went anyway.

omg that has to be the best thing ever to get a picture with that kion again!! serously awesome.. so how come you have to wear so many clothes seems like that woudl add to the heat index??

well, that is the way I dress both at home and here. Muslim women are supposed to cover everything except their hands, feet and faces. I was just wearing a tanktop with a lightweight long sleeve shirt over it. But yeah, it does add to the sweat-factor.
