I've now lost 3 grandfathers and 1 grandmother. My moms mom is now 90 and not in the best of health.

in 64 years I'll be 90...

i'm really sorry. it's tough. what you might do: just think of what you want to make sure he knows before he goes, and tell him that. or write him a letter and give it to him. if he wants to go, then it's probably "time" and he's fine with it--and david probably knows that too, in that weird way that little kids "know" stuff they shouldn't possibly know... anyway, i wish you the best through all of this--if you need anything, please let me know. i'll clean or run errands or whatever. :)
