So...OTPs.  Do you have one that is truly your all time favorite?  One that you've loved for years, maybe on and off, but still something brings you back in?  And either you remember a canon scene, or a fic snippet and suddenly you're sucked back in to the awesomeness of the couple?  Mine is Flint/Lady Jaye from GI Joe and I'm experiencing what is

I can only pick one?!? From one show?!? Do you know how many OTPs I have?!?

The only time I EVAR dropped an OTP (okay, two, for the sake of argument) was Dallas. I was Pam&Bobby all the way ... until Bobby met April. Pam who? And I greatly admired Miss Ellie for going ahead with her relationship with Clayton after Jock died, in spite of J.R.'s objections. Missed storyline opportunty? They never covered J.R. and Dusty having to deal with being stepbrothers, after Sue Ellen leaving J.R. for Dusty that one time.

Other than that, the couple I start with I ride all the way down, disappointment be damned. Myron Goldman & Alex Devlin from Tour of Duty, and Vincent&Catherine, yes, I'm looking at you. I do try not to do OTPs with daytime, because I know it's a waste of time. Lana was a nice diversion for Clark on Smallville, but I know he's eventually going to figure out why Lois aggravates him to death all the time. Hopefully, the entire gang will figure out they're actually dealing with Bizzaro before he starts buying clues re:

Oh, Alex and LT! They were an early OTP - the two of them, Kid/Lou and Flint/LJ really occupied much of my impressionable teenage years. But I think Tour of Duty broke my shippers heart when they killed Alex off, and I still haven't recovered. I did buy season 2 of ToD a while ago in the hopes to reminisce about the good ol' late eighties but I couldn't make it through a complete episode. I think I didn't want to watch their romance unfold knowing what her ultimate fate was

Heee... I was a Kid/Lou-girl too. They just had "meant-to-be-together"-stenciled on their foreheads.

As for other ships... here's my list:

X-Men: Gambit and Rogue. Definitely one of the most tragic and yet best couplings. They can't touch, but they love each other none the less.

Earth 2: Alonzo and Julia and Devon and Danziger... I just loved them bantering.

Third Watch: Kim and Jimmy... seriously, which other couple could be shipped there?

GI Joe: Flint/LJ, Duke/Scarlett und (non-canon) Beach Head/Cover Girl... nuff said here ;)

I also have an Elfquest ship... and that's Redlance and Nightfall. They were just such a cute couple.

I agree- who knows what will happen. You know my Joe OTP. :) For the record, I would love to see on of those old fics ressurected

I'd love to see you get back into writing too. Even though I know it'll be hard with a toddler and a newborn (which btw, congratulations! I'm sorry I haven't said this sooner). I miss so many of the old Flint/LJ writers.

so your saying your gonna add to a fic or maybe write something new?? I absolutley love your fics and often re-read them for a boost to get my own going. If you write anything else please post it somewhere for me to read. Its very dry out there for Joe fics.

Thank you! What I actually submitted for Bootcamp is a continuation of a story that I only posted for the group. It's one of those mega fics that's never going to get finished, but I poke at every now and then. But I've been poking at a few other WIPs as well.

It has been very dry for Joe fics. I see that ff.net is getting updated pretty regularly, but it seems to be a lot of Sigma Six type stuff.

I do recall a certain fic that too was never finished. Any potential progress on Haven?
