So a couple of days ago, I was scanning the flist and came across svilleficrecs's comment about Taylor Kitsch playing Gambit in the Wolverine movie coming out next month.  I loved the X-Men movies (okay, maybe not the third one as much) so I've been pretty excited about it.  I have watched the trailers several time, and even had an in-depth conversation with DH ( Read more... )

I loved the X-men movies, cartoon, comics. Gambit - *swoons*

I haven't seen TSCC in several weeks but I saw that Derek died. I was stunned. :(

I have no idea about season finales anymore. Shows start in Dec and end in Feb or some insane timeline like that. It's crazy really.

Yeah, I heard a lot of the TSCC fans weren't very good about keeping Derek's death a secret for very long. I was lucky in that I only saw a post inferring that something big happened between 15 and 20 minutes in. I knew I had to watch it, but I really wasn't expecting that!

The only way I can deal with it is to remember that Derek is only dead in that particular timeline.

Not reading the comments because I'm behind on Sarah Connor, so forgive me if someone already said this, but FNL has been picked up for two more 13 episode seasons. I think most of the younger cast will change, though, with the main characters being "phased out" like Smash and Street were this season.

I was sooo excited when I heard Taylor Kitsch had been cast as Gambit! I grew up watching the X-Men cartoon and Gambit was my favorite character and I'd been super disappointed he wasn't in the X-Men movies. And obviously I love Riggins. I'm bad, and watched the leaked workprint of Wolverine, so I can say that Taylor was great as Gambit, although he definitely needed more screen time! Or a Gambit movie...?

I heard about the renewal of FNL earlier in the week, and was very happy to hear it. As I said to another friend, I thought last week's episode was the season finale, and that had me so choked up. I don't know how I would have made it through the hour thinking it was the series finale!

I'm trying to be good and not get my hands on that workprint copy. It's so tempting, though!

If you dreamed about the x men trailer with the names on it ,I must have too.
That was how I figured out gambit was in this next movie.
Or did my co-worker tell me that? geez... I should have thought about it more before I posted.

I know what you mean. I have a clear memory of watching the trailer with my son, and the two of us reading off the names. There were a couple of XMen I didn't know, so if I did dream it, I made up characters too. I need to look some more.

Okay, I'm not nuts! It just played on Nickelodeon! They flashed up Wolverine, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Sabretooth, Wraith, Gambit and Blob. It also makes me feel better that I wasn't completely oblivious and missed Deadpool's name.

You're not the only one. I distinctly remember shows starting in September and ending in May. or even June!

And we weren't already talking about the 2012 elections before the 2008 elections were even over. They're STILL voting on some shit back in Vermont, oh GODDESS would I have election fatigue! Okay, I'm 2,000 miles away, and I get sick just reading about it on my phone. Your side lost, pull up your big kid underpants and be patient for the next four years, YEEEEEEEEEEEESH.
