i hate buying shoes. i have several criteria that most shoes never meet, and i always seem to compromise and buy the least-evil-shoe.

until now. *drum roll*

the perfect shoes.aesthetically pleasing athletic shoes made by a quality company (with money for r&d and fair labor standards) that are VEGAN

Uhhh, my rock climbing shoes are vegan. Not marketed that way, but there is no leather on them, and the soles are rubber. Pretty much vegan there. Oh! and my slam guards (tiger paws to you young 'uns), and also nylon and plastic. Now I do have a pair of leather slam guards, and i like them a lot better, but my first pair had no meat.

just gotta look around.

I do like the shoes. I may get a pair, and then go and eat a hamburger, as I am not a veggie person.

and where did you get these "slam guards" of yours?

i like the tiger paws specifically, as i've used them before and they're much better than any other wrist supports i've tried...
