I see where you’re coming from and I guess where you’re going with the idea that poetry has shaped music and the music industry. While reading your blog I thought about the rap industry and how they have incorporated poetry into to help define their lyrics. Though much of the up and coming artists have simple rhymes in there music, I feel that the artist prior where very passionate about the issues that affected them and they were able to express there concerns in a very poetic manner. The only artist currently doing this maybe just be Kanye West.
Poetry has grown, and is seen in the music industry through the stresses and emphasis in the lyrics of passionate and not so passionate artists.
