Chuckie really scared me when I saw it as a teen. In addition to my fear of ventriloquist dummies, I have a terrible fear of toys coming to life! And, plus, Chuckie is one heck of a creepy-looking doll.

Yes, it was strange. And lots of other weird coincidental happenings went into finding that apartment in the first place.

You're right about ventriloquist dummies...They freak me out.

As a kid, I can remember sleeping upstairs at my grammy's house...a tiny room with a dwarf-sized door in the corner that lead to an attic. My cousin told me that a Charlie McCarthy doll was stored in there. Not the whole body (which he claimed the rats had nibbled away). Just the head.
