That's very interesting that they appear to be wearing loincloths - they've obviously moved away from the Greek ideas on nudity, and the gentleman on the bottom right appears to be rather portly! What sort of date is it?
Ah, questions ... neither of which I can answer properly right now, sorry. I made a special trip to see and photograph this and some other similar items and I must have written my notes in a separate book, which is why I only posted the photo here as a "test". :-) I seem to recall this and one or two other items as being Greco Bactrian but, after consideration, I think it may well be Gandharan. Either my notebook will turn up or I'll rewrite my notes and retake the photographs when I next visit the Met. I do believe this is Herakles, btw, which would make sense for an athlete's piece of equipment.
