sometimes i wonder if i've become too cynical. then i realize that if things still bother me as they tend to do, then maybe i'm not cynical enough.

awwwwwwwwwwww, thanks. when i read that post now, it sounds much worse than it actually was. why do people (read: I) tend to continue to expect more from people when people tend to constantly disappoint?

Because we always hope for better, when we actually know better ourselves. This just sets us up for a fall. It is part of what makes us the wonderful people we are.
