I'm looking for ones with substantial content, not journal-type "here;s what I did today" stuff. It can be fandom meta or general media analysis/criticism, it can be science or math related, or it can be about writing, mythology, lit crit, Emphasis on analysis and discussion of the topic, not too much

I've been reading Shamus Young's Twenty-Sided blog for years, and while the more recent stuff is just links to a new Youtube show that Shamus participates in, there's years of video game analysis, table-top RPG campaign chronicles, and of course the famous DM of the Rings webcomic. He also sometimes launches into a series of articles on computer programming, and he's very good at making it understandable for the lay-person; in fact, when I need to explain what programmers do, I typically steal explanations from his articles.

I also read Dilbert-creator Scott Adams' blog. He's an armchair futurist and general analyst of whatever interests him, and he also likes to court internet controversy with satire, both well-done and not.
