Mythical Simplicity (Chapter 1)

Thump. Thump. Thump.

The chair was soft and comfortable. The lighting in the study was perfect; warm and cosy, but bright enough to read. Gentle strains of music were streaming from the aged gramophone in the corner. A plate of delicious snacks rested on the desk. It was wonderful, really.

And the Doctor was about eight seconds away from completely ( Read more... )

Oh, what a promising start! I hope there's more soon?
Forgive the redundancy but the Master is masterfully done. As is the Doctor. Pun not intended.

Hee!

Thank you! Lovely comments are such inspirational motivation, while we're being redundant :D

Now for tentative, pre-emptive apology: the rest of the fic doesn't continue in this vein. It changes a lot in the next chapter. I hope that doesn't make it bad. Just different. I do feel quite apologetic about posting this fic, but the blasted plot bunny just wouldn't let me rest.

Sorry. That was meant to be a very gracious "thank you for the lovely, kind comment ... more soon."

A wonderful beginning. Not sure why you're so apologetic - I'm eager to see your next chapter posting! The bedroom scene was *fab*

Eh, I'm apologetic because I don't want people thinking every chapter's going to look like this. It changes, drastically.

But if this is your style, then you'll be glad to know it ends in much the same vein.

Thank you for the lovely review! I'll post Chapter Two tomorrow. I just need to check it, because I've already found typos in this one!

Thanks :D

Yay! This was really great. I love how you've written the Master. You've managed to make him really IC and that's impressive to me. I wanna know what the TARDIS is going to come up with! I like it when writers remember she's a living thing and that as such, she probably think, feels atc. I did enjoy the bedroom scene. It played very nicely in my mind camera ;) Anyway, I can't wait to read more of this. When will you be updating it?

Thank you!

I've said it before, but staying in character is probably the most important thing to me when I'm writing, which may be why I never get anything done! For every 100 words that I write, I must delete 500 that are OC.

Big sigh of relief over the smut scene. I usually skate right over those, but I wanted to write this one. I still think it's over far too quickly, but if all yous are happy, me too.

The TARDIS is problem-solver at the moment, but she'll soon turn mischief-maker. It's fun. You know how I like happy endings, but hate to go OC (hint, hint!)

Chapter Two tomorrow morning.

That's dedication! I think I sometimes write too quickly, though I do usually go back over it a couple of hundred times. I'm a fan of the smut. Like you, I have to be bullied into writing it, skimming over it is my specialty. You and you're hints, I can't take to curiosity! I'm so bad for it, it's like when someone tells me they've got a surprise for me I hate it because I just HAVE to find out what they mean.

Okay, okay. Don't twist my arm!

Putting second chapter up now. Hope the answer to the mystery lives up to the expectation. That's the trouble with cliffhangers ...

I'm eager to see where this is going! I like the air of mystery to the end, and what's all the thumping? More, please!

Thank you!

Don't get hung up on the thumping. It's just random acts of sabotage ;)

Putting more up now.
