Chapter Four

John must have fallen asleep at some point in the night, because the sharp beams of sunlight cutting through his curtains in the early morning woke him abruptly. The confusion that had been puzzling him during the night was gone, taking the strange ideas with it, leaving him with the reality of mundane, wonderful everyday life.

They were so sweet, getting along so well, and I loved watching John bolt and worry and Harry not worry. And that last kiss - *melts*

You listed five possibilities, and I'll tell you that it definitely isn't three of them. But I'm not saying which three.

I figured the John we knew would definitely freak out in this situation, and if they were both being totally neurotic and twitchy nothing would happen and it would be boring. So Harry has to be a little calmer.

They are very, very cute. I wish I could draw, at all, so I could sketch some of these scenes. There's a scene from Chapter Six I'm desperate to draw, but it involves hands, which are just about the most difficult thing to draw, ever.

Yep, the doom is hovering, but it doesn't land just yet. There are at least two more cute scenes first.

Beautiful chapter - you were right, it IS the bast so far. Not that the others were anything short of great.
The last line was very promisind. Do I see lots of angst in the next part?

The next one was a little harder. Angst? Not at first. We know it's coming, but they don't, which is sweet. Some lovely cute moments together. Yes, there will be trouble at the end, but perhaps not as angsty as it could be.

You can judge for yourself, it'll be up tomorrow. Hopefully in the morning, but possibly in the afternoon. Got a ton of stuff to do, and I'm already flagging.

Ok, I am in love with this premise. I'm actually part way through a somewhat similar story, but only my Master is human. I didn't see 1813 coming, but no complaints here, this whole thing is so splendid I could clap my hands together with joy.

I'm trying to pretend that impending doom is not on the horizon. The mental equivalent of sticking my fingers in my ears and going "La la la, I can't hear you!".
