This is a picture post!
I realize that most of you have not seen the pictures of the ridiculous cakes I've been making!
The first class was just to practice/get acquainted with the basics of cake decorating, so there wasn't a cake for that. Here is the end result of the second class:
Each little dot of color on the rainbow is made individually with frosting. Yeah, it takes a while. I skipped the third class because of the Fall Out Boy show (oops) but Lori made creepy, creepy clown cupcakes and I kind of feel I didn't miss anything. But! Here is the final cake:
Isn't it AWESOME? Lori made two of the roses and I made two, and we collaborated on all the other aspects. Here's a comparison shot of the book:

So yeah. It was a fun class! And fortunately, Erin's birthday is next week so I have an actual excuse to make a cake. I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS OMG. While we're posting pictures, Lori's prom was Saturday (lol THAT was an adventure) and gosh darnit, she looked so cute. Her and Kevin:
