Well, I'm in portland, still reeling from a cold/flu/period that only the devil himself could have created. but i'm 90% recovered, and looking forward to portland antics... and there lies the rub

I have been a complete anti-social hobo this semester--very, very different from the past, well, three years or so. From this I have discovered that people, are at heart, simply lazy. It's not that people don't WANT to hang out, they just can't get their shit together. So take heart?
i'm LIVING with you next semester. as in, making food and being elegant slobs and throwing things at each other's walls to hush each other at odd hours of the day and night... and we can trade new year's eve sob stories. i haven't been to a real new years party since i was thirteen. that one involved an awful lot of foosball, as i recall.
but it's not really the holiday that bothers me... it hurts to be avoided. it's hard not to tell when it's happening to you. I knew we'd all grown apart and it's part of the reason i came to portland. to fix things, be on my own, be ok with being alone/ apart from sam, and to reconnect with people. i just want a chance to do that.
