...I was losing my damn mind!
That was all kinds of unexpected hot, but loved the story too. Especially in the context of this episode as (for me) it's the start of Sam's downward spiral so pretty special.

That makes all the time I spent with two different latin translation programs and three different versions of the Sacrament of Penance open worth it. I kept laughing to my friend that I never though I would have to know how to conjugate Latin to write porn.
But seriously, Sam's how faith/belief/atonement arc, narrative, character, whatever you want to call it, is so fascinating to me.
And don't get me started on Latin kink. Or drawing and/or speaking rituals into each other. I read a really hot one once that I'm still looking for. If i find it, i'll post it!
