I got a ticket today.  I was driving home from the bank and I got pulled over.  The officer pulled me over and told me it was because of an expired inspection sticker.  Well that sucks, but I played it off like I didn't know because this isn't the car I "normally" drive, it's my girlfriends.  She asked for my license and insurance, but apparently ( Read more... )

well if i take in the insurance card it will be like a $10 fee. If I can't because there isn't it's around $350.

Then I would suggest you do everything in your power to get that insurance card anyway!
And you can also take a course in defensive driving either online or at a pre-determined location to get the ticket off your record. Community service might also be an option... it all depends on whether or not the judge is willing to deal, but all-in-all you might have better luck dealing with a Travis county judge than you would up here with a Wilco judge :-P

I was looking on the back of the ticket, and apparently you can only take a defensive driving class if it was a moving violation

as far as I know, if it's not a moving violation, then they shouldn't hike your insurance rate. That would be the only reason to take defensive driving anyway.
