Orochimaru (大蛇丸), featured in the Japanese folktale Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari, is the arch-enemy of the ninja Jiraiya. He was once named Yashagorō (夜叉五郎) and was one of Jiraiya's followers, but he was overtaken by serpent magic. why is that?

oh and I was just surprised that they all are interconnected the same
I knew orochi was an eight headed snake god, i just never knew that orochimaru was a folk legend or jiraya and tsunade either, i thought it was made up

it's neat-o
