day 03 - a song that makes you happy

this reminds me of so many good things, my bee eff eff rebecca and her obsession with gwen stefani, my own obsession with her (that paled in comparison to rebecca's), driving down the 101 with her on our very first road trip, screaming the lyrics together. being in a band...dressing like we thought we were punk rock stars. all the good things about high school. et cetera.
i'd also like to add:
because i found that when looking for "songs i can dance to," this one instantly put a smile on my face. this reminds me of both nocturnal, and when i played at girl power. it was so funny because girl power was only 2 days after this track was released, so i thought i was gonna pull out a banger that no one had ever heard. and then EVERYONE KNEW THE WORDS! because apparently, it was in the EDC trailer that had also just been released. but it was still really cool because even though everyone already knew the words, it was probably the first time they'd heard it played out, because it WAS just officially released two days prior. the room went CRAZY. it was fucking epic. that was my first epic dj moment ^_^
