We have the ocean in New York too! It's just a different ocean and colder and not quite as pretty. haha! Actually the only times I've seen the ocean in CA were at Santa Monica Pier and San Diego (hm...San Diego, is that right? I was in like 7th grade so I don't remember!) and it didn't look or feel all that different than the Atlantic, but the Pacific in Hawaii is so much better than our ocean! And the ocean at Paradise Island is the Atlantic and it's much better than here! So I guess it just depends on the location or whatever. I've nevr been kayaking though; that sounds fun! I'm always afraid I'd flip over and get stuck in the boat and drown though. :/
Please tell me highlighting creme is for like your hair or something! Because at my hair place they have hair dye for a place I wouldn't think of dyeing! haha.
