why do people think that girls aren't supposed to like sex?

i'm tired of these tv shows where the husband has to beg the wife for sex. is that what the world is really like?

that's sad.

In my experience this is not true, but I do find that men are capable of arousal in almost any situation while females most be in favorable conditions to spark sexual behavior.

Went on to wish you a happy upcoming bday and browsed your posts. While I never wanted to believe that all women do not like sex, I can tell you that in my ltr (19 years), it had evolved to the point where my initiation of sex either led to a begging session (which I found to be demeaning) or an argument. So, I am working, somewhat successfully, at letting go of my attraction and desire for her in order to preserve my own sanity and self worth. She will initiate sex once or twice a month when she desires it which is also a bit annoying. Realizing that these things are very complicated, I suggested to her that we end the marriage and continue to be friends which she opposes as "she loves me more than life itself". Sounds a bit hard to believe given the current state of the relationship. At any rate, I am an older guy but am not dead yet so I have been considering a discreet side relationship which violates my personal values or to go ahead and initiate divorce proceedings.
