Oh, it happened. There's another eye-witness account that say Xabi was quite popular with the customers and they were all hit on, but were really cool about it. :)
I struggled with the ending SO MUCH and re-wrote it right before I posted it, I'm glad it worked.
Teehee! I can just see them all at that club, the scene is so vivid! The only thing that's missing is some dude wearing nothing but suspenders and a cowboy hat. ;) Since we've already got one dressed up as Kylie. :) This is hilarious and even though I have no way of knowing how men who spend a lot of time together act when they get drunk with zero chicks around, I imagine there's a sense of well established familiarity that lets them take the piss without offence, plus hey, it's okay in football! ;)
"You are much better looking than Raúl," Xabi says as he'd say pass the salt or let me know when you burst forward on the left and walks off calmly to the bar. Flirting a little there, Xabi, huh? ;) Not that he's ever had to, but I like how the booze made him bolder to just state the fact so naturally. You really capture the sparks in a beautiful way, where it was awkward before, it's tipsily smooth now, the elated, excited mood is palpable
( ... )
I've been rereading this whole thing a lot (because well... lots of time to kill and no internet) and your comments are really helping me sort of... guide my writing, if that makes any sense, especially how they've evolved around each other.

That's just how I imagine them in my head and I don't want to fall into depression writing this so...
