I've been trying to work on the ex-Manc so we can get to know him a bit better in the new chapters, I'm relieved he doesn't seem as out of place as I'd feared at first.

What are you talking about, silly, your original character works just as well as the "real" ones! You give them all fleshy personalities and this youngster's no different, I'm sure. He's gonna be fun and interesting and annoying and making me feel for him, all at the same time. For our boys, he's gonna be handful though, isn't he? :) Not only likes to party but also drunkenly hits on people twice his age (not that it'd be any better if he tried that on Lilly Ella :))... And an ex-Manc! Well, not at heart, but I'm curious to see how well that goes with the club...

And I love me the mental image of composed, poised Xabi, probably moving gracefully in his stylish clothes around his stylish apartment... Not that I wouldn't enjoy him losing all that carefully maintained control... ;)

You know I'm neurotic... :) It's encouraging to see he... works. I'm kind of shocked how much he's moved the story forward for me so I don't freak out about him anymore.

Mmmmm, mental images... wonderful, delicious mental images... but I haven't written enough to allow myself that treat. Not yet... ;)

Haha, I can tell already that the kid is going to be somewhat of a handful (and will also probably regret every word that fell out of his mouth [and probably other stuff that falls out too] the next morning...)

I wrote like mad during the whole trip, but only have a tiny chapter up for now because I have a backlog of editing/research of what I've written to do once I'm back to full time internet.

Thank you for commenting, it's a relief about Jake because I don't know... I guess I'm just neurotic, but he ended up being what I needed for the story, so I hope he'll work out well overall.
