Rating: R (swearing and grownup stuff)

I'm loving how you're fleshing out Jake's character. This is great - really enjoying it.

I've never written an "original character" before so I'm still... weirded out by him and also working really hard to... I don't know, make him read like a Person. So thank you for saying that, it means a lot. :)

Reading this like for the third time...and i can't decide my fav part! It's simply beautiful...i love your writing, your style is simple yet very intelligently written you know?? Clever lines, funny stuff...love it!!

“Listen up, you lot,” Stevie’s voice rises to a loud whisper to make sure he’s reaching the stragglers at the back of the room. “There’s a Basque man cooking his grandmother’s stew in there and he’s been at it since 3 PM. I’ve done this before so here’s what’s going to happen: you’re going to eat it and you’re going to fucking love it. You will complement the cumin notes and you’ll say thank you when you’re done…” Awww, he has the need to protect him, how sweet is that??

And Jake, i have the feeling that in some way he's gonna be like a bond in these two, in an emotional way...just speculating...

Anyway, guess i'm gonna wait to see it!!

More, more... :p

Hehe. I'm not going to spoil anything...

It's so great to see how into it you are, and well... I have a thing for domesticity, I couldn't help myself even though I need some chapters where they don't interact all that much to advance the rest of the story along, this had to be done because I'm basically writing baby!fic. Except with teenagers instead of babies. :)

I'm so freaking behind with comments, but you know how much I'm enjoying the story... This chapter was mostly pure entertainment, with the "kids" being all clumsy in Xabi's posh apartment and being ordered around by their "Daddy". :) Cracked me up how they were hopelessly surveying his books and dvds and how they needed lecturing about the food. :) I had no doubt it was going to be a success, though, Xabi loves to eat to much to be a lousy cook. ;) But Stevie's concern for his chef dignity was sweet. I appreciate that Jake's start with the club was far from perfect - it's more realistic that way. Although if he continues to be badly received by the fans and fails to connect with his teammates, he might do something stupid... Which, you know, drama, so I'm looking forward to it! :) I'm surprised that he's a smoker too, but I guess he's a bit of a bad boy, difficult childhood being an easy excuse... Seriously, I have no idea why you were so worried about the character, he's great and very enjoyable! Aww, and Stevie taking him under his ( ... )

I really am writing baby!fic but with teenagers instead of babies, aren't I? :D It's simply unavoidable at this point, so I'm just enjoying it.

Oh how I love and pine for The Obligatory Xabi Objectification Corner...

Stirring the food with a frown on his freckly brow and all serious about it... Wearing nothing but an apron... Yum!

So... somebody should write that story as a spinoff to my story, huh?... ;) Just no licking stew off of him, please, too messy...
