I'm just experimenting with something, don't mind me.
Untitled Colombian Project
Rating: R (not this bit, but in general)
Chapter: Intro
Summary: In which Xabi is an Arsenal fan
(
I was prompted to write something that hasn't been done before. I've read stuff where he claims to like Wigan, but I feel safe with the Gooner bit. )

I had lots of time to kill today and was very productive with plotting up just about the whole thing. Basically, if you put my brain on a train with no internet to distract me, it's like freakin Open Sesame. I'm excited about writing it now, thank you so much for making me do it!

I. LOVE. THIS.
MOREEEE PLEASE.
By the way:
"Oh great, here comes the special offer for the local brothel, twenty percent off for “friends of the owner”, Xabi thinks, the polite but firm refusal automated by years of practice."
I was laughing so hard with this I almost pissed my pants.

I have the plot for all of it now, which is a huge relief. This is not going to have a lot of chapters so the chapters are going to be kind of big. I don't know when I'm going to be ready to actually post moreeeeee, but there will at least be more to read so hopefully worth the wait.

my dad is Colombian and you touch a very sensitive subject for me in this story (i believe you can imagineg what I'm talking about) so it's... idk. i know is a fic and i should not take this too seriously b but I'm kind an emotional reader and i really want to know what's going to happen with the story.
I'm not complain or telling not to keep writing it; i just wanted to tell you that -more or less- I'm gonna come to you crying -more than usual- though i know I'm gonna laugh too :p
okay that said... can't wait for more!
ps. sorry, if i upset or make you feel uncomfortable it wasn't my intention.
ps2. I'm rambling... sorry!

I can't really say more to not spoil it for you (if you do want to keep reading it), but...
(i believe you can imagine what I'm talking about)
I can promise you that's NOT what I'm talking about. It's true that I'm sort of using people's expectations about the country (and that's the one thing I do feel bad about), but um... I just plotted up about 90% of the story and there'll be four big chapters with lots of... things happening and none of them are... THAT. In fact, the reason I chose Colombia is that: a) I needed a Spanish-speaking OIL producing country (emphasis on *oil*) because it's the Latin-derived language I know best/can do research in AND I needed it so I can put in some fun and familiar secondary characters. (I understand enough French for it to be set in an African oil producer for instance, but who wants to read about Spurs and Newcastle players, right ( ... )

also if you want to go to Colombia just let me know! i think i'll be there in the summer (June/July) though it's really always summer over there :p
you're more than welcome! mi casa es su casa! :D

It was really important for me to not turn this into one massive cliche and I hope I haven't, as it progresses you'll see it was the perfect setting for it for positive rather than negative reasons (like the Spanish-speaking players I mentioned earlier). I'm excited about writing the actual chapters now, beyond some scenes I have done already.

It's my ambition with this story to keep readers in that state until (hopefully) the very end. ;)
Thanks, I'm actually really looking forward to writing the rest, this was a sort of trial run.

That's exactly what I was going for!
Who knew writing freakin' PLOT could be this much fun? Thank you for commenting, it helps to see reactions when I structure the plot, before everything is done, etc.
