“Out of coins?” Xabi asks, handing Steven a shiny Blackberry when he’s close enough to make sure nobody can see their illicit exchange in the faint light of the street lamp. “I’m catching up,” he adds, not without a certain amount of childish pride. “You’re turning me into a criminal mastermind.”

Why we have this need to corrupt him??? he's that corruptible?? mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Pepeeeeeee...ugh, I love him!!! And the toddlers, and Stevie, and UGH!!!

“Snipers work with partners; his was his best mate from the academy. An even crankier, loud hijo de puta from Liverpool named Carragher. They were captured together… held for weeks…” CARRA!!! ;(

Xabi’s face is still buried in his pillow when he feels a hand on his shoulder followed by a palm clamping his mouth shut when he tries to scream.

DA FUQ?????? NEED MOREEEE!!!!

BINGO! ;)

CARRA!!! ;(

I know... I know... I seem to have this thing where I kill off important people in his life to give him manangst.

Traveling is apparently my writing trigger, I wouldn't be too surprised if I finish this story in some cafe in Donostia. ;)

YEY NEW UPDATE, NEW UPDATE, NEW UPDATEEEE.

First of all:

"Walking, no talking turns out to be a policy Xabi can get behind one hundred percent because, theoretically, what he’s probably supposed to say is: I’m sorry… about earlier… And then Steven’s most likely supposed to mumble something about forgetting all about it and bitch at him for not walking fast enough. Xabi can recognize social protocols in the abstract, it’s just when it comes to putting them into practice that… well… he’s not sorry, for one thing. At all."

Baby NO ONE in his right mind would be sorry for that. It's Steven fucking Gerrard, a spy, nothing is sexier than that.
Xabi is turning into a badass, now he steals, he's a burglar, and is all natural, the blackberry part, LOVED IT.

“We’re not exactly… conspicuous. You should probably lose the beard,” Steven concludes, a little mournfully.

“No!” It doesn’t sound negotiable. “Is there a Plan B?”NO IT IS NOT NEGOTIABLE, NO MESSING WITH THE BEARD, NO SIR ( ... )

Hee. I knew I'd be entertained AGAIN by your gif usage. Amazing. :)

and is all natural

He's naturally a thrill-seeker, even though he's an engineer... :p

NO MESSING WITH THE BEARD

I was considering it for realism, but you guys would have never forgiven it. Well, I would have never forgiven *myself*.

kids can be kind of.. umm ... scary sometimes

I love it! Great chapter, again. And I always love Stevie being adorable with little kids.

He's like a freakin' magnet to them, I just HAD to! Plus it served another purpose so... (I'm more like Xabi when it comes to (other people's) kids so for us it's fascinating to watch people who know what to do with them).

new chapter You've just made my day... or so I thought until:
"Xabi’s face is still buried in his pillow when he feels a hand on his shoulder followed by a palm clamping his mouth shut when he tries to scream."
then I wasn't so happy anymore (first of all, You can't stop there) but I'm hopeless optimist and thought: hey, maybe it's Stevie? First/Last night together since:
"once I get you on Spanish soil at the Consulate, you’ll be somebody else’s problem"
even if I'm wrong, I still love this story ;)

and one last thing:
"he’s not sorry, for one thing. At all."
no one would be sorry for that ;)

Unfortunately, I have to! Not only do I hate long chapters (I don't know how you guys have the patience with it, honestly), but I'm also going on a 10-day trip soon and I need to spend less time on the internet and more time doing laundry and packing and stuff. BUT. Traveling seems to be my main writing trigger, so I'll probably finish the story while waiting around in airports and then post the last chapters one after the other when I come back.

Thank you for commenting and letting me know what you enjoyed. It won't be very long now till it's done...
