To borrow a line from the above song, it is indeed "hot as hell" tonight. It hit thirty degrees today, managing to be really hot and sticky at the same time as grey and dull. I need to buy a fan - no air moves at all in this house, ever

I really need to do something about my appalling sleeping patterns. During exam season it is bad form to stay up until 2am all the time and then sleep away the whole morning. I will fail my A Levels, and it will be because I do not sleep. Among other things

It's absolutely pouring with rain again today. Really, really tipping it down, the window looks like someone is hovering above it throwing buckets of water down it. The kind of rain that causes so much noise you can't hear what else is going on in the room

So that's the General Election pretty much all over for another four to five years then. Much as I expected, I didn't manage to stay up to see most of it; I drifted in and out of consciousness all night. Although I was still "up for Twigg" losing to a Tory in Enfield Southgate - both symbolic and a bit depressing as the guy was obviously gutted
