Master James is the one that is pushing for a celebration of the 30th anniversary of An Tir becoming a Kingdom. I think he is using the 12th Night date of 2011 for his math.

So it ought rather to be Twelfth Night of 2012, then, to celebrate 30 years since An Tir became a Kingdom?

For clarification, I was referring to Master James the Tormentor...the Kingdom Senseschal. Hope there was no confusion.

I know. Scary. I remember writing a rebellion song for the Principality sometime in the late, late 70's. Heck, BaO will have been a Barony for 30 years in 2013.

That site does show 1980/1981 on the website and that was where I think a few people were confused.

Having said that, Jan 2011 starts the 30th Year as a Kingdom with Jan 2012 ending it as the 30th Anniversary. This is that whole "there is no year zero" thing.

The plan was to celebrate the entire 30th year starting with the beginning of Year 30, a planned 30 Years as a Kingdom event sometime in the summer and culminating with the Jan 2012 Anniversary date.

So 2011 IS An Tir's 30th Year as a Kingdom. Hope that straightens it out for some.
