Would anyone mind teaching me how to care for a plant?

[Zero had been mulling it over for some time and he finally decided to purchase a flower to care for. He wanted to understand nature a bit better for some...important reasons. He had gone to the flower shop and, after looking around, settled on one. It wasn't its appearance that caught his eye

They enjoy full sun and slightly loose, loamy soil.

It is a little late in the season to be caring for an iris now, though. Is it a hothouse flower?

You should be more careful with antiques.

Water it a little whenever the soil isn't moist anymore. But if you water it too much, it will die, too. Put it somewhere sunny. And if it's a bush or it grows too large or something, you'll have to trim it down.

Still, you'd be surprised at how much a plant can grow if you take good care of it.

It's certainly a strange time of year to pick it up, but I'm sure you could keep an iris alive.

I must confess, finding ways to occupy my time hasn't been easy. I never realized how consuming my work in Neo Arcadia was until that work ceased.

My "father" often suggests I join him in tossing a "pigskin" around, but... I'm not exactly fond of the notion.

It's a slang term for a football. Took me forever to figure it out on my own. It's a sport humans play, especially in this country.
