Stupid fucking braces. I hate them. My son was supposed to start wearing his brace yesterday. The DBB, two shoes connected with a bar. Great..yay..the fucking thing fell off 3 times and gave him a blister on one of his tiny little feet!! He screamed all day....I tried and tried to make it all better..to no avail. they should have ordered the

I know its awful and you are tired and frustrated. Can you leave him out of the brace some of the time until he gets used to it? Sort of give him (and you) a break-in period? I know they are thinking it will get faster to put him in the brace with practice and all that happy-happy but it is a bit much to ask you to devote your whole day to taking the thing off and putting it back on and its bound to make him less than happy too since he is probably already pretty annoyed about losing his freedom right when he finally got it

Unfortunately....

the taking it off every two hours is just to make sure his toes are still getting circulation..still "pink"..not for practice. They don't want me using any adhesive on his heel..no bandaids, moleskin, nuskin..nothing. Apparently it will rub worse..according to them.

the problem with the shoe is that his heels are TINY tiny tiny..so making insoles would actually make it worse to stay in. There is just nothing to hold his heel in :( they even added padding to the heel area..didn't work.

The socks I was using are the thickest Baby socks I could possibly find :(

if the things they want us to try don't work..(trying no socks tonight, 2 socks tomorrow) then he won't have it on at all until we go back sometime next week.

Poor little guy I have those narrow heels too and its murder trying to get a good fit in shoes. You can never seem to pad the heels out right to make them fit comfortably because your toes wind up all jammed up in the end of the shoe
