I was realizing this morning, as I gave the critters their water, that Jeff and I own a snake and a chameleon. Both are symbols of change and transformation. I found it interesting that we had each chosen one such reptile and wondered what it said about us or what that meant for us. Did it mean that we were seeking change or that we need to become

Ah yes... I figured it was about time I embraced change. I needed life to be a little more kinetic: it had fallen into a rut, and I've had difficulty trying to prise my way out.

Which is why DSL has meant so much to me... she's a symbol of change for the better. I'm willing to risk my stale, yet stable existence here, to be with her, and I feel she's worth that risk. Worth it ten times over.
