Trip continuum

Here we are, several days after our anniversary and now we're starting towards year number 2!!! We left around 1, went straight to the Springfield Leather Company where I picked up some new beads (3 strands) and T picked up a moccasin kit. Then we made our way to Zio's and had one terrific lunch! I had Chicken Canneloni (Chicken and spinach wrapped in noodle shells like tortillas and smothered with alfredo sauce and parmesan) and he had Chicken Pepperoni (Noodles, tomatoes, onions, red and green peppers, chicken and tons of pepperoni mixed together in a red sauce). I liked mine better, and I think he did too. Afterward, we went to the theatres to see what was playing and settled on a 7pm showing of Pirates 2. We found a motel room (Never never never staying there again...low price equals low quality) and had a little fun before the movie. After the movie (which was in hubby's opinion disappointing because Pirates 3 is a continuation, not a movie in itself) we had a light dinner at Braum's and went back to the room to watch some tv and attempt to sleep. It's a really good thing the air conditioner is one of those old fashioned ones that makes a ton of noise, else neither of us would have slept at all. It ended up being just the right amount of white noise to drown out noisy neighbors. Idiots still had their tv on at 5am when we woke up and turned the air off, but at least it wasn't the tv AND a whole room full of chatterboxes. So we found our way back to sleep and woke up around 7am as per usual. We watched some more tv, waiting for the 8am work rush to go before we headed out for breakfast. Yummy pancakes for me and Sunrise breakfast for him at Cracker Barrel :D We decided to take a trip to a mini golf place since I had passed one while we were looking for the theatres. I found it again with no problems and we happened to get there just after they opened which meant we had the course all to ourselves! He beat me by 2, I believe. Or maybe I beat him by 2...I don't remember to be honest. We then made our way back to my Grandma's.

Last night my brother and his family came over and we made dinner for them. This isn't the first time we've made dinner since we were here, we actually made homemade pizza for my folks on the day after we came in. But we had a much bigger 'audience' this time, as my Great Aunt and Uncle were here, as well as my brother, his wife, and their two boys. T made a red sauce (which was a hit by all who ate it, except my youngest nephew who decided that eating ice was more to his liking...he's 7 and finiky) and I made alfredo sauce (which people said they liked but half was still left) and my famous lemon-mustard creamy dressing. I think more than anything, my Grandma, her sister and brother in law just appreciated someone else making the food since they had been hosting a yard sale since 8am. They're at it again today, but per tradition they are going to Dancy's and taking us with them. My favorite Aunt comes in tonight for the weekend, the one that took was with me on my first trip to Germany. I'm really glad I get to see her, though I know she's going to ride me about not writing emails on a regular basis. Heh. I know a few of you reading this probably feel the same way. If by chance you do, please feel free to respond to this update and say 'Hey! WRITE ME!!!' and I'll do so...at least once. *grin*

That's all for now...I'll try to update at least once more before we leave. Take care!
