I think having the conservatives in power this time around is a good thing. Having a constant Liberal government isn't good. Besides, the tories will do their bad shit, and it will refresh in everyone's mind why people were voting Liberal in the first place. Plus Martin's gone now right? That's good too. Canadians will get pissed that he sent us off to war. They'll be even more pissed if he caves on the soft lumber thing. I think we're all just waiting for some tax cuts and the GST to drop before we kick them out.

If you're expecting tax cuts-you can keep waiting. Our tax bracket increases under the conservative platform. He's gotta pay for his tax cuts for the rich somehow.

The personal reasons I was alluding too in the post is quite a fuck you from the conservatives. I was accepted for a $16,500 scholarship. One of 44 graduate students given this scholarship across all departments at the University of Saskatcheawn. When Harper got elected-he sent notice too all university funding agencies, along with all depts other than armed forces & health to brace for major funding cuts.

Instead of 44 students getting the scholarships as promised before they got into power...24 were granted. Mine was axed. The funny thing is that nobody knows on what basis the selections were made. It wasn't grades, it wasn't with input from the university...

What I want to know is how many other studies researching environmental & native issues got axed.
