A Port Orchard Police Department sergeant was arrested early Monday following a domestic dispute in which he's alleged to have burned a box of his girlfriend's art and quilt-making supplies in a garage, according to documents filed in Kitsap County District Court.

There are a lot of law enforcement officers who commit domestic violence statistically. It is kind of amazing - charged with protecting the public, and yet they abuse their own families.
