Squidmas!

The 10 days of Squidmas, beginning with Cephalopodamus on December 22nd and extending to New Year's Eve, represent the squid's eight arms and two feeder tentacles. Squidmas was invented by onceupon and mightywombat in pious fear and awe of the mighty squid. What sort of preparations must one make for this sort of event? Purification with holy water? No calamari for the proceeding week?
