See, I read this review and thought it was kinda funny, but only as funny as any other poorly written, misdirected, all caps comment on the internet, and there are plenty of those. My best guess it that it was written by a teenager who was forced to read the book for school.

Am I missing some hidden genius?

I find it funny that anyone can work up so much vitriol over Pierce. It doesn't sound like an annoyed teenager reading a book for class, because then he/she would complain that it was boring, not poorly-researched. It reads instead like one of those fake/ironic chatspeak comments, like when people add "OMGWTFBBQ!!1!!" to the end of their posts mockingly.

Yeah, it has to be totally fake. And then, the more recent, "intelligent" reviews sort of mention the all-caps troll, saying things like, "You have to understand it was a piece of campaign literature..."
